Gas Water Pump

A gas water pump works just like an electric water pump but its power is drawn from a gas driven motor and not electricity. Because it’s a gas engine that operates the pump it will have a higher horsepower than an electric pump. More horsepower means the pump can generate a greater force.

A gas water pump is good for when water must be moved a greater distance than normal, or when more force is required. For example, a gas water pump would be ideal for a home in which the well is a long distance away from the house. A deep well will also need a pump with more force.

A gas water pump should not be used indoors or in enclosed spaces. The motor emits carbon monoxide, which is a deadly gas. An enclosed space poses a risk for carbon monoxide poisoning; adequate ventilation should always be available when the pump is in use.
