Submersible Water Pump

A submersible water pump pulls water from the bottom and pushes it up. The motor is fully encased to protect it from short circuiting. Gravity assists in the process as the pump draws only water from the bottom; therefore the pump has to do less work than a ground pump.

A submersible water pump will have less mechanical problems than a ground pump because of its assistance from gravity. The pump will not work if it is not fully submerged however. The pump will work the best when placed in the lowest area.

A submersible water pump is ideal for creating water features in landscaping. The pump can be used to create a fountain or a waterfall. The pump can also be designed just to keep water flowing in a pond and can have a filtration unit attached to it to help remove debris from the water.
